Week 2 down

Finally finished week 2! I am really starting to enjoy this. Took a peak at week three and saw that I will doing three minute jogs - holy crap! Guess this is when it starts to get serious...

Lost 2.5 lbs! Finally my metabolism is working. My brother's wedding is this weekend so I am looking at three days at food temptation - rehearsal dinner at an Italian restaurant, passed apps and filet mignon at the wedding ending with a brunch on Sunday...must stay strong!!! I am packing my work out clothes to take advantage of the hotel's gym and plan on burning calories as I dance all night at the reception!

I am now a proud owner of a BOB Sport Duallie. This stroller seriously rocks. I took it for a test drive this afternoon at Brooksby Farm. It drove like a dream up grassy hills and dirt roads. I wish I could have gone for a long walk but it was too windy! The kids enjoyed the ride - Ava didn't even ask to get out! She actually cried when we got back to the car. Anyone knows Ava knows how much she hates strollers!

I am giving my body a rest today. I woke up and could feel every inch and it all felt sore.

Day two

Great day! Picked up dumbbells for the first time in I don't know how long...months maybe years? I forgot how much I actually enjoy working my arms and shoulders. Of course I say this after using my little 3 pounders but hey it's start!

I also did day one of week two C25k. OMG the last run was a killer. I thought I was going to throw up! Guess that means it was a good run. :) I am thinking of running in my neighborhood July 3rd marathon. Not sure how long it is - hopefully a 5k. The timing would be perfect. I will have completed the C25k. My surgery is scheduled for July 10th and it would be great if I could get one road race under my belt before that happens.

So here I am. 50lbs heavier than I was on wedding day 4 and half years ago. Quitting smoking and having two babies has taken it's toll on my body. I know how I got here and know how to get back to where I was. It's easy - watch what I eat and work out. Calories in calories out. That's all.

I finished my first week of C25k! I am very excited that I am running again! I am looking forward to the second week and increasing my running minutes. I don't own a treadmill or a jogging stroller so I am running/walking in my living room - no excuses right???

B - 1 1/4 c rice crispies & 3 sliced strawberries 1/2 c 1% milk
S - half banana 1/2 c low fat organic blueberry yogurt
L - 4 slices turkey on whole wheat 12 reduced cal potato chips
S - 2 baby biscuits
D - taco salad
